Terms

Publisher: Vincent Tariel-Adam (see the legal notice). Contact: contact@commeunjeu.org. These terms govern the use of commeunjeu.org and the CommeUnJeu applications. Creating an account means accepting them. The service is published from France and French law applies; the French version is the reference text.
1. The service
CommeUnJeu is a mathematics platform from kindergarten to the end of secondary school, and beyond for French preparatory classes: lessons, automatically graded exercises, quizzes, videos, PDF worksheets, and AI grading of a photographed handwritten answer. The content follows public curricula; CommeUnJeu is not a site of the French Ministry of Education, and is not affiliated with the International Baccalaureate Organization.
The service is provided as it is, and improved continuously. We do not guarantee a school result: it is a working tool, not a private tutor or a certified preparation.
2. The account
An account needs a username, an e-mail address, a password and a year of birth. The information must be accurate; the password is personal. A pupil who is a minor may open an account; under 15 we invite them to talk about it with their parents, and a parent may ask for the account to be deleted at any time.
You can delete your account from the Delete my account page: it erases your data and cancels any running subscription. We may close an account that harms the service (fraud, abusive automation, harm to others), after a warning except in an emergency.
3. What is free
Reading the lessons is free. A free account receives tokens: 1 token per exercise question answered, quizzes included, 1 token per video, the first time it is played, 10 tokens per AI grading, 10 tokens per PDF worksheet, and 5 free tokens every day. A free account has no time limit. These amounts may change; the subscription page always shows the current ones.
4. The Premium subscription: price, duration, renewal
- Price: 5.99 € per month, all taxes included.
- Duration: one month, renewed automatically every month until cancelled.
- What it gives: exercises, AI gradings and PDF worksheets without tokens — that is what we call “unlimited”. It must remain the use of one pupil: automated or plainly abusive use (resale, mass account sharing, sending photos in series) may be limited after a warning.
- Payment: by card, at Stripe; we never see your card number. From the mobile app the payment goes through Google Play or Apple, and their terms apply.
- An adult: the payment is confirmed by someone aged 18 or over, a parent or legal guardian; a tick box states it before the payment.
5. Cancelling
You cancel online, in a few clicks, from Manage / Cancel my subscription (on the subscription page or in Settings), as French law requires (art. L215-1-1 of the Consumer Code). Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period already paid for: you keep the access until that date, and nothing is charged afterwards. A subscription taken in the Play Store is cancelled in the Play Store. If you have any trouble, write to us: we cancel for you.
6. Right of withdrawal
You have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance purchase (art. L221-18 of the French Consumer Code). The subscription is digital content supplied immediately: at the moment of payment you expressly ask for access at once, and you acknowledge that for what has already been supplied to you the right of withdrawal no longer applies (art. L221-28, 13°). That is the tick box you confirm at the till, and it is kept with the payment.
In practice: the subscription is not refunded. There is nothing to cancel in advance and no commitment: you stop whenever you like from your subscription page, and the month already paid for runs to its end. Nothing further is charged after that.
7. Prices, changes, interruptions
A price change is announced at least one month in advance by e-mail; it applies only from the following period, and you may cancel before then. The service may be interrupted briefly for maintenance. If a failure of ours deprived you of the paid service for several days, write to contact@commeunjeu.org: we look at each case. The law also leaves you the remedies it provides for a service not supplied, which these terms cannot reduce.
8. Content, ownership, liability
The lessons, exercises, illustrations and videos are protected by copyright; a pupil or a teacher may use and print them for their own work or their class, any other distribution needs our written agreement. Your answers and your photos remain yours; you only allow us to process them in order to return the grading (privacy policy). AI grading can be wrong: it helps, it is not authoritative. We are liable for damage caused by our own failures under ordinary law; nothing here limits your consumer rights, in particular the legal guarantee of conformity.
9. Complaints, mediation, applicable law
Write first to contact@commeunjeu.org: we look for a solution. A consumer may then use a consumer mediator free of charge (art. L612-1 of the Consumer Code): the mediator's details will be published here as soon as the company is registered and has joined one, and are available on request until then. The European online dispute resolution platform is also available.
These terms are governed by French law. In case of a dispute the French courts have jurisdiction; a consumer may bring the case before the court of their place of residence.
10. Changes
These terms may change. An important change will be announced by e-mail or on the site; the date at the top gives the version in force. The terms applying to a subscription are the ones accepted at the moment of payment.
