From Impossible to Certain

Definition Chance
The chance of something tells us how likely it is to happen. We can show different chances on a line, from impossible to certain.
  • Impossible: It can never happen.
    Example: Riding a dinosaur.
  • Unlikely (or Less Likely): It probably will not happen.
    Example: Rolling a die and getting a 3.
  • Even Chance: It has an equal chance of happening or not happening.
    Example: Tossing a coin and getting heads.
  • Likely (or Most Likely): It probably will happen.
    Example: Drinking something today.
  • Certain: It must happen.
    Example: The sun will rise tomorrow.
